Custom Engraved Pens

If you want a custom engraved pen that people actually keep, you are in the right place. We carry 91 Bettoni metal pens, most of them solid brass, plus two matched journal and pen gift sets. Every one is laser engraved with your logo in our own shop in Chula Vista, just south of San Diego. Nothing gets mailed off to a third party.

One logo is included in the unit price. You pay a one-time engraving setup per design, shown on each product page, typically $62.50. Minimums run 25 to 100 pieces on most pens, and a few premium sets start at 6 to 12.

Not sure how your logo will look on brushed brass? Every product page has a free mockup tool. Upload your logo, see it engraved on the pen, download a PDF. Then request a quote and a person, not a cart, confirms the details.

How engraving works

Laser engraving is not printing. A printed logo sits on top of the metal as a layer of ink, and ink wears wherever fingers go. Engraving removes material. The laser cuts your logo into the brass, so it lasts as long as the pen does, through years of pockets and a few hundred meetings.

The trade-off is size. The imprint area on a pen barrel is small, often around 1 1/2" wide by 1/4" tall. A wordmark or a simple icon engraves beautifully. A logo with fine gradients or tiny text will not, so keep the art clean. Upload it to the mockup tool on any product page and you will see exactly what fits before you spend a dollar.

Engraved pen questions, answered

Where can I buy quality custom engraved pens?
From someone who engraves metal pens as their actual business, not as one item in a 40,000-product catalog. We stock 91 Bettoni metal pens, mostly solid brass, and laser engrave them in-house in Chula Vista. Because the engraving happens in our shop, we control the depth of the cut and the deadline.
What should I engrave on a business pen?
Your logo, and keep it simple. The imprint area is small, so a wordmark or clean icon reads better than a detailed crest. Skip taglines and phone numbers; nobody squints at a pen barrel to find your website. If you want to test an idea, the free mockup tool on every product page shows your art engraved on the pen.
Is engraving better than printing on a pen?
For metal pens, yes. Printed ink rubs off with handling, and pens get handled constantly. Laser engraving cuts the logo into the metal itself, so it cannot flake or fade. The look is also more subtle, tone-on-tone rather than a color blob, which matters when the pen is a gift rather than a giveaway.
How much do custom engraved pens cost?
Our Bettoni metal pens run from about $3 to $86 per pen depending on the model and quantity, with most everyday executive pens in the single digits. One engraved logo is included in that unit price. The only extra decoration charge is a one-time setup per design, typically $62.50, shown on each product page. Your quote confirms quantity, color, decoration, setup, artwork, shipping, and tax before anything runs.
What is the minimum order?
Most pens have a minimum of 25 to 100 pieces, listed plainly on each product page. A few premium gift sets start at just 6 to 12 pieces, which works when you only need to cover a leadership team or a short client list. We do not pretend there is no minimum. We just keep them honest and visible.
Can each pen have a different name on it?
Yes. Most of our pens can be engraved with individual names in addition to your logo, for about $0.98 extra per pen. Send us a spreadsheet of names with your order and each recipient gets a pen that is theirs, not just the company's. It is the difference between a handout and a gift.
