FAQ
How much does custom apparel cost?
Embroidery is $12.00 per unit and it is a left-chest logo by default, with a one-time $75.00 setup fee per design. That's added to the blank garment price. Bulk pricing is available based on quantity ordered and the discount varies by product, so tell us the quantity and budget you have in mind and we'll quote it. A polo or a fleece hoodie costs more because the blank garment costs more, not because the embroidery does.
What is the minimum order for custom apparel?
Each style's quantity ladder starts at 24 pieces, so that is the floor for any single item you order. Separately, Encore sets a $2,500 minimum on the decorated apparel portion of an order as a whole, which usually means either one style at a reasonable quantity or a handful of styles that add up together. Exceptions to either number are possible; ask before assuming a small run is out of reach.
What brands do you stock for corporate apparel?
The apparel catalog runs 506 active styles. Under Armour leads with 79 of them, followed by Adidas at 65, TravisMathew at 47, OGIO at 46 and Nike at 44. Below that sit The North Face at 23, New Era at 18, Brooks Brothers at 9, Nautica at 6, Port Authority at 5, Eddie Bauer at 4 and Tommy Bahama at 3. Polos and jackets are the two biggest categories, at 104 and 85 styles.
Is the logo embroidered or printed on apparel?
Embroidery is what these pages price, and it is the method on file for 504 of the 506 active apparel styles: $12.00 per unit for a left-chest logo plus a one-time $75.00 setup per design. Where the final number moves is placement, stitch count and how many thread colors the mark needs, since a dense multi-color logo takes longer to run than a simple wordmark. Printed decoration is not quoted on the site for apparel, so ask on the quote if that is what your artwork wants.
Can I mix sizes and styles in one order?
Sizes within a style are not a problem. The 24-piece minimum applies to the style as a whole, so a run of small through XXL counts toward that one number rather than each size needing its own 24. Ordering several styles works the same way, with each one quoted against its own quantity ladder and all of them rolling together toward the $2,500 decorated minimum for the order. Where it gets more expensive is logos, not sizes: each separate design carries its own $75.00 setup.
What does a corporate apparel program look like at Encore?
In practice it is a standing order built from the same catalog anyone can browse: a handful of styles across the 506 active SKUs, each decorated with the same logo through left-chest embroidery, reordered as headcount or seasons change. Because decoration happens in Encore's own San Diego shop rather than through a print vendor, the same setup and the same $12.00 per-unit embroidery price apply whether it's the first order or the fifth.
Why does the price per piece vary so much between a t-shirt and a hooded sweatshirt?
The embroidery cost holds steady at $12.00 a unit; what changes is the blank garment underneath it. A New Era crew tee blanks at $13.40, so the all-in price at 24 pieces is $28.53. An Under Armour Rival Fleece Hoodie blanks at $55.00, so the same 24-piece run comes to $70.13. A Nike Dri-FIT polo sits in between at $63.15. Heavier fabric and brand markup drive the gap, not the decoration.
